We met Kerstin from Munich while having breakfast in our hotel and as we were all heading in the same direction she decided to join us. Our first couple of hours was a steady uphill through the fog and misty rain to the Monastery of Armenteria. Passed some prehistoric petroglyphs just off the trail.
After a look around and lunch at near by cafe we started the descent via the 'Ruta de la Piedra y del Agua' - route of stone and water. This is a very pretty 7 km woodsy hike alongside the stream and dozens of old stone water mills.
