Summary in one sentence: Good flights and connections but still grinds one down.
Cannot say enough goog things about KLM for both my long flight to Amsterdam and the shorter hop to Madrid. Never been to Madrid airport before but seemed very organized and calm.
Grabbed the hotel shuttle to the prebooked ibis Hotel so here I am in Spain.
Spent the early evening sorting gear and assembling bike. Afterwards headed put to street for awesome 5 Euro donar and 1.3 Euro 1 litre beer.
Very cool bumping into but old friends and workmates Teri and Andrew while waiting for my flight. Great to catch up. Ironically they were going to Madrid today but on a different flight.
